This 1956 Thunderbird has the engine dress-up kit, fender
shields, Town & Country Radio, power seat, tinted windows and positive action wipers. It was exported to Cologne, Germany. It needs a restoration but would be an easy project! As of March, 2004 it was for sale on eBay and located in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. It had the following information in the description: Fastened to the firewall is a badge which was added at the Ford Plant in Germany in 1955. This badge reads as follows: FORD - WERKE A.G. KOLN- - - - - Typ. M6FH - - - - Fahrgestell Nr. 166099 - - - - - zul. Gesantgewich kgr 1755 Baujarh 1956- - - - - zul. Achslast Vorn kg 880 zul. Achslast kg 875- - - - - This badge indicates the serial number, model year and weight. UPDATE January 2013, Dennis Dole reports it was for sale on ebay in Bentonville, AR. Same condition. UPDATE February 2022, Cliff Ham reports that he bought this Thunderbird when it was in Arkansas. He says it has an overdrive unit that appears to be from a 1955 model (Borg-Warner 259 with R-10 overdrive). It has 5 original wheels and wheel covers, and fender skirts. It was in ragged but restorable condition, and appears to be low original miles, as certified on its most recent title at 25700 km on the odometer (from 2004). It now has just over 30000.
