Marion Davidson says: This 1956 Thunderbird was originally sold by Dahl Motors in Utica, New York to William Lear, Jr. and shipped to Lear Jet Corporation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was retained by the Lear family for over 30 years and was in a museum in Florida until 1995 with approximately 7,000 miles on the odometer. It was purchased by Wayne Robnett of Chicasha, Oklahoma from the estate. Mr. Robnett trailered it to Oklahoma and with very little freshening started showing it at many regional CITI meets, winning first place original many times. I purchased it from Mr. Robnett in March, 2004 when it had 25,300 miles on the odometer. It has Kelsey-Hayes wheels and radial tires - the original white walls and wire wheel covers are still with the car. It can be seen at Route 66 in Weatherford, Oklahoma.
