This 1956 Thunderbird was offered for sale on eBay in June, 2004 and was in Mesquite, Nevada. It has 3-speed manual transmission with Overdrive. The description states: " This 1956 Sunset Coral T-Bird is just like the one driven in American Graffitti! It has a 312ci motor, 3 speed with Overdrive transmission, removable hard top with porthole windows. The bird is fun to drive and in very clean condition! " + + + + +UPDATE October 2012, Dennis Dole reports it was sold at a 2009 Silver Auction for $18,500. UPDATE Augist 2015, In August 2015 this 1956 Ford Thunderbird was offered for sale in Sandy, UT. It was purchased by the previous owner in early September 2009. In 2010 the vehicle underwent a full restoration by Dave Kindig, owner of Kindig-It Design and star of Velocity Channel’s TV show “Bitchin Rides”. It is now light green with a white hardtop and a green/white interior. (picture updated)
