This 1956 Thunderbird sold at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2009 Auction (Lot #76) for $70,400. According to the seller:
"A beautiful red 1956 Ford Thunderbird that is being sold by the proud owner of the vehicle for 22 years. It was stored in a garage and mostly used as a show car and touring car. The car has won many awards at local car shows including a AACA National Award. It is a restored vehicle that was painted 5 years ago and has been well maintained. Features a red hardtop with port holes as well as black softtop, 312cid/225hp V8 engine with automatic transmission, red and white interior, Continental Kit, wire wheels with white wall tires and original wheels."
