Charlie Kinder says: I purchased my 1956 Thunderbird in 1990. I have the original invoice stating the car was delivered to the T. Lyell Puckett dealership in Alhambra, California on December 29, 1955. The invoice price was $3,058.89. To make it more comfortable to ride and drive, I have added under-the-dash air conditioning and wide white radial tires. It has the port hole hard top and the soft top of the original material which is stored behind the seat back when not in use. The car has the original "dress up kit" which consisted of aluminum valve covers, chrome oil filler cap, and wire wheel covers w/small hub cap and wire wheel cover clips. I show the car almost every weekend during the summer months at local car shows in which I have won over 100 trophies which include a dozen Best of Show trophies. It is a great driving car and has never been on a trailer or car hauler. As some of the signs say "If you see this car on a trailer, call the police because its been stolen." That’s the way it is with me and my little Black Bird. I wouldn't have it if I couldn't drive it.
