This 1956 Thunderbird sold at the RM Jerry Capizzi's Cappy Collection Auction (Lot #325) for $69,300 in November 2006. It has a gray exterior with a non-original grey leather interior and Wilton wool carpets. The engine compartment has been detailed to show quality standards, however it has been slightly modified. The aluminum rocker covers were black chromed and the exhaust manifolds have been smoothed out and appear to be aluminized. Other notable features under hood include a dual quad-carburetor setup, a windshield washer system, an automatic transmission, an after-market air conditioning unit, power steering and power brakes. UPDATE June 2023 it was sold at Sotherby's auction in Amelia Island, FL, March 2023.
