Thunderbird Spotter Bryan Fisk says that this 1956 Thunderbird was offered on eBay in June 2004 and the description states:
Vehicle is in beautiful condition, but it is not a one owner. The mileage represented is the actual mileage of this vehicle. A non-smoker owned vehicle. This vehicle does not seem to have had any prior collision damage. No collision damage evident. Feel free to run a report on this vehicle. It is obvious that the owner babied this vehicle - not a ding on it. From this vehicle's appearance, it appears to have been garaged. The transmission shifts like a dream. The engine runs like a dream. All power equipment on this vehicle is in working order. The overall vehicle's value far exceeds any minor defects. The care of this auto has been well maintained, and its' extra clean exterior is all the proof you need. This is a very well maintained vehicle with a clean interior. This vehicle comes equipped with new wide whitewall tires.
This car was a frame-off restore done from 1986-1989. The present owner, Bob Stuart, did the restoration and should be called for any questions. I am just listing this for him, but I have driven this car and it is near perfect. Some small paint chips, and a cracked drivers window are all I can see. Other than that, the car is near perfect. The engine and transmission were also rebuilt in 1989 and this car only has 3000 miles on it since then. Always garage kept, never sees rain even! He even has the original bill of sale. The second owner of this car! It does have the 312 cu. in. engine, dual exhaust, sounds great! There is a box of extra parts also, three distributors, etc.all Ford parts. It was in Carolina Beach, North Carolina.
