This 1956 Thunderbird has a 312 V-8 engine, Fordomatic transmission, manual windows, manual seat, power steering, fender shields, black soft top and a hardtop with portholes. It sold for $77,760 at Barrett-Jackson in January of 2006. Its current status is unknown. UPDATE June 2012, Dennis Dole reports it was sold at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2007 Auction (Lot #1001.1) for $71,500. It is a restoration by Minter's Thunderbirds. It has Fordomatic, power steering, engine dress up package, wire wheels and both tops. (picture added)
