Alan Sterbenz says: This is a Raven Black 1956 Thunderbird originally sold in New York with a Colonial White hard top and a white soft top. The hard top was not on the car at the time that it was sold as new. It has been in our family since 1969 and has never been totally restored. The engine and transmission were rebuilt for the second time 6-7 years ago. At that time a 2 inch radiator, 6 bladed fan and electric cooling fan were installed to resolve heating problems that occured under parade conditions. It was painted in 1974. The mileage is somewhere around 390,000 (the odometer has stopped working several times). The original type nylon tires and tubes have been replaced with Coker Classics.
