John Johnson says that he bought this 1956 Thunderbird new in December of 1955. He sold it in 1961 and has been trying to track it down since then. If you have information about the status of this Thunderbird please contact the Registry. UPDATE August 2012, it was also documented in the November-December 1998 edition of Early Bird by Mr. John C. Johnson of Phoenix, AZ. He reports that he purchased the car new from Garden Spot Motors in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area. Two years later he moved to Tucson, Arizona. After one summer in Arizona the black soft top was replaced with a white one. The photo shows John's wife Dee with the car in Flagstaff, AZ in 1960. (picture added 8/12) A similar picture taken in front of the same house in 1960 shows Dee with their previous 1956 Thunderbird, RN 39780.
