It was scheduled for production on May 28, 1956 (28E) and ordered through the San Jose, California District Sales Office (SK). It was seen at the Spectrum auction in April, 1998. UPDATE June 2012, Dennis Dole it was sold at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2008 Auction (Lot #983.1) for $68,200. Body-off restoration in Torch Red with both tops and red/white interior. 312 engine with an automatic, air, full power and wire wheels. Test miles on restoration. (picture added)
