Ron Crossman says: I am the 3rd owner. The first owner was Kemmons Wilson, original owner of Holiday Inns. Mr. Wilson started the off the frame restoration, but did not complete it. The second owner, Amos Minter Thunderbirds, Dallas TX, purchased the car at an estate sale in Missouri and continued the restoration. I purchased the car in 2008 and have continued the restoration. The car is a very good driver. I drive it to work about 75% of the time in the summer and have taken it 100s of miles on short trips. She is about 99% original. I have added a carburetor kit that doesn’t use the old breather tube, which keeps the leaking oil down, and the car really does run better. She does not have the Rag Top, but I intend to add it.
The engine would be about a 2, the interior a 3, and the exterior about a 3, as far as ratings would go. My goal is to have the dash and exterior paint re-done this year making the car a very good 2 all around. --- This Thunderbird resides in Berryville, Virginia. ---- Update: This car was sold on eBay for $30,100 on June 05, 2009 while located in Berryville, Virginia with 99,461 miles on its odometer.
