Larry Johnston says: The story on my treasure is my 56 was that is was stored for over 30 years in a climate controlled warehouse in Sanger, California. Along with 10 other cars, my friend's Dad sold her to me in 2002. He was ill and was unable to care for her anymore and wanted a good home for the Thunderbird. This car had 28,300 miles on her had been covered and out of the sun light all those years and is in perfect un-restored condition, the belted tires are most likely the second set of tires ever put on her. I was told that the soft top had never been up, in fact there is a string on either side that ties the top in, it could be from the factory, Have you ever heard of this?
I currently belong to the Santa Clara Valley Thunderbirds Club and I bring her out as often as I can but really careful not to reduce her value to me or my future generations. We just returned from Fabulous Ford Forever at Knotts Berry Farm. Bill Mann registered this Thunderbird on October 8, 2003: This is a 1956 Thunderbird. It is Peacock Blue (L) with a Colonial White (E) hard top and a Peacock and white interior (XC). It was scheduled for production on July 2, 1956 (2G) and ordered through the Houston, Texas District Sales Office (SU). It has engine dress-up kit, Fordomatic, and wire wheel covers. It was seen at Birds on the Wharf in Santa Cruz, California in October, 2003.
