This 1956 Thunderbird was sold at the Barrett-Jackson Orange County Auction in June 2011. Lot # 333.2 for $40,700. The owner reported:
Frame-off restoration performed just over 1,000 miles ago. Original rebuilt 312cid V8 engine, with Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed automatic. New items include soft top, glass, rubber and chrome windshield frame and wheels. New Kelsey Hayes wire wheels and new interior. All gauges work. Additional modern conveniences include a CD changer, original looking AM/FM radio, upgraded fuel pump, distributor, intake manifold and alternator.
