This 1956 Thunderbird was for sale in Richland, Pennsylvania. UPDATE October 2022, Chip and Tim Hogan-Palazzo notified the Registry that they own this Thunderbird. They say: We purchased it from a man in Mount Carmel, PA, and transferred the title on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Ten years ago, this man purchased this Thunderbird from an auction in New Jersey. Documents found in the car following the purchase indicate a woman, by the name of Ethel M. Moore, who lived in Seaside Park, New Jersey, owned may have been the first owner. The car, which we negotiated the purchase of based on an odometer which read 25,550 (and because the odometer turns back to 0 after 99,999.9) we determined it had 125,550 miles on the car. Shortly after we trailered the car back to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, from Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, we stopped at a tire dealer to fill two of the front tires - and the technician told us he could tell us the age of the BF Goodrich White White Wall tires. He determined they were manufactured the last week of December, 1946 - ten years before they were installed on the Thunderbird. The next day, we found an insurance document that said, Ms. Moore's Thunderbird had 25,395.8 as of March 5, 1998. This, coupled with an odometer that now reads 25,550, and the original tires STILL on the car, we've determined the vehicle to have only amassed mileage of 25,550. (picture updated)
