Tim Roden says: My Raven Black 1956 Thunderbird was purchased right off of the showroom floor of Cort Fox Ford
in Hollywood, California. I am the fifth owner but I have located the original owner who has told me some wonderful stories about the car. After purchasing the car new, he and his wife owned the car for 13 years. I purchased the car in July of 1980. The original owner allowed me to copy his color home movies of the T-Bird from when the car was new. I have since converted these home movies to DVD. This T-Bird has been a constant source of pleasure for our family. The car has the engine dress up kit, skirts, T&C Radio, Hardtop and tinted glass. It came with an automatic transmission and wide white walls. Being a California car it has all of it's original sheetmetal with no rust. It drives as good today as it did back in 1956. This car is documented in the book WHERE THE CARS ARE (1990) on page 192. UPDATE August 2013, Tim says In 2012 the Engine and Transmission were rebuilt. The engine compartment has been detailed and also the undercarriage has been painted. Since retiring I now have the time to do these fun projects. (picture added)
