This 1957 Thunderbird was documented in Old Cars Weekly as being one of the Battlebird race cars. It is a sister car to Registry Numbers 35125 and 35127. It is "Number 98" and was recently sold by RM Auctions. It was heavily modified for racing, was supercharged, 312cid Tbird Special V8, stoked to 348cid I gather, like the 265 car. It had 8 shocks, 2 per wheel. The full features of it is detailed in the RM Auctions listing. UPDATE February 2012, Glen Hockenjos supplied a picture, as it appeared in 2009. June 2012, Dennis Dole reports it was sold at the RM Monterey Auction of August 2010 for $280,500.
