Bill Mann says that this Inca Gold 1957 Thunderbird was purchased December 15, 1956 at Town Ford in Redwood City, California. With two t-birds on the show room floor, one Inca Gold with a White port hole top and a 1957 Raven Black with a black port hole top, Dr. Hart was looking to purchase one as (his dad had owned a 1955 and then a Thunderbird Bronze 1957). He didn't care for the white top and told the salesman maybe a black top would go better for him. No problem: one black car with a white top and one yellow with a black top so he bought it. Now in the 50's doctors still made house calls and this Thunderbird was his only car so daily he made the trips around town. Now to this day this car is not only one of the rare daily drivers but the only one I know of that is still driven by the original owner, still an avid golfer with clubs in the trunk and stethoscope on the front seat (as he gives one day a week at one of the local clinics free). Being married 50 years his wife always gripes about the mess the Thunderbird leaves on his side of the garage. I've been working and maintaining this car for close to 30 years. It has had 3 engines, a second transmission, minor fender benders, and a couple of paint jobs. This car is still Inca Gold with a black port hole top , and a black and white interior. It has power steering and power windows.
