William J. Wells says: This is the third 1957 Thunderbird I have owned, purchased in January 2003 in Denver, Colorado. It had been owned by prior owner for over 20 years who did a frame-off restoration on it in 1991 and only drove it 1850 miles in 12 years. It had about 125,000 miles before it was restored and had been used in Texas ( where it was sold new ) as a transportation vehicle between oil rigs. While my Thunderbird was originally Inca Gold with white hard top and white trim, as happens so often, it is now with a different color and trim. The prior owner painted it Colonial White and added a non-original red and white two-tone interior. The hardtop is no longer on the car and fender skirts also have been removed. It now has a white convertible top. Other driving/appearance enhancements: chrome spoke wire wheels, radial wide white wall tires, Pertronix ignition, AM-FM/cassette stereo radio, rear antennae, 6 blade clutch fan and front pusher electric fan, electric fuel pump. It still has original power steering and engine dress up kit. It runs great, runs cool even on hot days in traffic and has been trouble free for several thousand miles since it reached Michigan.<p>
