This 1957 T-Bird was sold on eBay on September 23, 2009 with a winning bid of $30,000. It was Colonial White with a black and white interior and had the following options: 3 speed manual transmission, white porthole hard top, power steering, power brakes, engine dress-up kit and wire wheels. This car was said to be all original with 78,000 miles on its odometer and last located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
However, judging by the VIN it is quite possible that this car may be one of the very rare phase one supercharged 1957 Thunderbirds of which only 15 were made. No mention of a supercharger was in the selling description which only said the car had the correct 312 engine with 4 barrel Holley. A PDF sheet of this car's auction appearance is available on request. UPDATE August 2012, Robert Higgins notified the Registry that he owns this Thunderbird. (picture and codes added).
