This 1957 Thunderbird is equipped with a power seat and overdrive. It was bought by Dewey Gilliland Jr., a Florida drag racer. It was five days late from the factory because of the extra power seat & overdrive that was added to it. It was not equipped with fender skirts or a heater and other miscellaneous items because it was a drag racing car and weight was a constant factor. It is now being sold by Mecum Collector Car Auction in St. Charles, Illinois. - - - - - - Update March 2010: Glen Hockenjos says that this car was a "no sale" (at $190,000) at the RM Auction on January 16, 2010. It is a D/F model of which were produced. It is currently yellow with a black and white interior. Glen adds that this car was sold new by Duval Ford in Jacksonville, Florida
