John Sangster says: I purchased this vehicle in August of 2013 ,It has been a lifelong dream to own one, at age 68 I can almost afford it! The car was sold new by Semmes Ford in Scarsdale New York New York, it came in Raven Black with a red & white interior ,it came with a convertible top in lieu of a hard top when new ( I have the original window sticker) .When I purchased the car it had the hardtop with port holes and I managed to find a complete convertible top assembly for it.It has the Kelsey Hayes wire wheels and wide whites (Remington) apparently was made in the 70s ,the skirts are missing the engine is now running strong (was seized when purchased) It is a D code 245hp with auto, everything appears original it has been garaged since 1994
and according to the licence office has four previous owners since 1974 that I know about, very interested to know any history to that date. The lastowner said it originally belonged to a Dr.in Scarsdale N.Y. with my luck it won't be Dr.Herman Tarnover of Scarsdale diet fame although according to Google he was a flashy individual and did own a "Classy" 57 Ford.ApparentlySemmes Ford had thier franchise pulled by Ford in aprox. 1970.Any input would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, John Sangster... PS will forward
photos at a later date ,thanks - - - - - - - - UPDATE Dennis Dole reports In January 2016 it was offered for sale on ebay and was located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
