Mike says: This car was purchased by my uncle on June 19, 1961 for $1850.00. My uncle was a fighter pilot in the USAF, and he purchased it from the original owner, another fighter pilot (Ted Kobylaz of Garfield, NJ, purchased the car new on October 24, 1957). This is the actual car that made me fall in love with cars when my uncle gave me a ride in it in 1963/4 when I was about 7 or 8 years old and he stopped to visit his sister (my Mom) between duty assignments in the USAF. At that time I made him promise that if he ever sold the car, he had to sell it to me lol. He never sold the car. He parked it in his NH barn in about 1969 and, although he did maintain it more or less, he never really drove it again. I bought it on November 3, 2017 from his estate sale after he died, and I have it now. The odometer shows 10,160 miles, but I don't know if it has turned over. Most of the paint and all of the chrome/stainless is original, and the interior is original other than a new dash pad. It has some rust on the inner rear quarter panels, but other than that appears to be in good solid original condition.
