Dr. Corvette says: My 1957 Thunderbird is currently undergoing frame-off restoration. It was my fathers first car, which he purchased in 1958. UPDATE June 2019, Andrew says: It was purchased by my father in 1958. He didn't have a drivers license. He had the salesmen deliver it to farm where he was living and taught himself to drive. It was daily driven until 1973, parked due to brake failure. It stayed in a garage until 2002 when I (his son) started the restoration. It has had a body off restoration. It was sold new by Newing Motor Co., 1404 Main Street, Endicott, New York.
