This is a 1957 Thunderbird in Inca Gold. The information about and pictures of this car are courtesy of "Thunderbird Illustrated" dated Winter, 1976. All of the statements made are known to be correct however the present status of RN 920 is unknown. This Thunderbird has Fordomatic, power steering, power brakes, fender shields, outside mirror, and white wall tires. It was sold new by Midway Motors, 200 North Vermont, Los Angeles, California. The first retail owner was Hirosh Yamagata who took delivery on December 29, 1957. He traded in a 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-door sedan. As of December, 1976, this Thunderbird was owned by Rusnak Porsche/Audi of Pasadena, California, and the Thunderbird had less than 500 miles on it. During the time that it was owned by Mr. Yamagata, it was basically kept in storage in his garage. Mr. Yamagata gave the car to his sister, Mary Y. Sumida, in the early 1960s. In 1975, Mr. Russ Barton (of Rusnak Porsche/Audi) acquired the car. As mentioned above, the current status of RN 920 is unknown.
