DeanLinAZ says: I purchased this Tbird from Amos Minter on April 26, 1999. Amos had purchased the car from a Paul Richard of Coral Gables, FL on January 21, 1998. Amos had originally sold the car to Paul Richard on March 21, 1988 with an odometer reading of 3,174. Amos had originally restored the car in the late eighties and refreshed it before I purchased it in 1999. The odo reads 10,710 today. The original invoice shows that the car was delivered to Hull Dobbs Co. of Honolulu, HI on September 23, 1957. I have no information from that time until Amos sold it in 1988. I have no knowledge of actual miles either. - - - - -
The car is very original and is a 2-/3+ per the Hagerty rating system. The car has both tops. Amos added an after market A/C with a four-row radiator, six-bladed fan and electric pusher fan (it is Arizona, you know). The interior is now code AA (all white), and, power steering and Kelsey-Hayes wires have been added. - - - - We have owned this Tbird for 15 years, so it is a keeper. We use it for car club activities, car shows and cruise-ins. We a members of CTCI. We drive it regularly--it is not a "garage queen". - - - - - - UPDATE June 2015, Dean Lewellen notified the Registry that he has sold this car to Hubbard Auto Sales in Scottsdale, AZ after owning it for 16 years. UPDATE Dennis Dole reports It will be offered at the 2016 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction (Lot #1054).
