This 1957 Thunderbird was assembled in Mexico. UPDATE February 2023, the owner notified the Registry that he owns this Thunderbird, and he says: I am the second owner. The car was assembled in Mexico and shows about 60,000 kilometers, or 37,300 original miles. Loaded with options (not usual in Mexico), except the dual carb. It even has a vinyl covered roof which looks really old and may have been delivered with it or done back in the day. It has it's original upholstery. The color was changed by the original owner from yellow to a bright orange… it will eventually return to yellow.
The car was mine since September 2017 and it came from Mexico city to Queretaro… trailered as it had rotten tires. I very much doubt it was ever in the US.
