It has won gold at 3 Classic Thunderbird International events and several other medals at various other events. It sold for $83,700 at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, AZ in 2005. + + + + + + UPDATE May 2012, Dennis Dole reports it was sold at the Barrett-Jackson Orange County Auction in June 2011. Lot # 343.2 for $69,300. It is from Dave's Garage Car Collection. This Thunderbird was completely restored in 1996 by Prestige Thunderbird in Santa Fe Springs, CA, an elite baby bird restoration company. It won Best of Show Lake Tahoe Classic 2001 and 4-time winner Best of Show 'n Shine at Hot August nights, with 5,000 cars competing. UPDATE May 2013, this car is part of the Sanett Collection Chatsworth, California. It was formerly in Newnan, Georgia.
