The factory invoice of this 1957 Thunderbird was being offered with the sale of RN 36189, apparently because the seller believes the two go together. This Thunderbird was delivered to University Motors, 1276 University Avenue, San Diego, California. It was shipped by rail from Dearborn with 11 days of transit allowed. It is unknown if this Thunderbird exists. + + + + UPDATE June 2012, Dennis Dole reports it was sold at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2007 Auction (Lot #989) for $84,700. It is currently light blue with medium blue and light blue interior. It has hard and soft tops, engine dress-up kit, signal seeking radio, heater, power brakes, power steering. It had only three owners since new and the original factory invoice was being offered with the car. Although the invoice indicates the color codes should be "QE" they are actually "QQ" on the plate. It is for sale at Classic Auto Showplace in Troy, Michigan as of December 2013. As of March 2015 its status was unchanged.
