Phil Skinner originally registered this Thunderbird: This is a 1957 Thunderbird. It is Inca Gold (Y) with an Inca Gold hard top (Y) and a white interior (XK). It was scheduled for production on August 21, 1957 (21H). It has Fordomatic transmission (3) and a 3.10:1 rear axle ratio (1). This Thunderbird was documented at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Phoenix, Arizona in January, 1996 and January, 1997. Arthur Ash III reports that as of February, 2004 it was for sale and located in Waukee, Iowa. UPDATE January 2014, owner writes: This car has had a ground up restoration to Concours standards. Awarded the CTCI Gold Medallion Award and elevated to Senior status by CTCI in 2012 at the International Convention in Memphis TN. It sports its original Inca Gold body color and all white interior. It has Dial-O-Matic memory seats and power windows with standard steering and brakes. Dual 4 barrel setup, (AA and AB carbs), distributor, and transmission have original equipment with correct ID codes. Also award winner at Hemmings Concours. (picture updated June 2017) - - - - - - - - UPDATE October 2022, the owner reports that this car won the CTCI Senior Original Concours Class Gold Medallion Award, CTCI International Convention, San Antonio, Texas.
