This 1957 Thunderbird is 1 of 25 1957 Thunderbirds with automatic transmission shipped in parts from Dearborn to the Mexico City Ford Assembly Plant according to Classic Thunderbird Club International magazine "Early Bird." It was sold at the Barret-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2010. UPDATE September 2012, Glen Hockenjos reports it was sold at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona for $67,000 in 2010, lot# 9003. It is Coral Sand with a white interior and had the following options: white porthole hard top, tan soft top, Automatic transmission, wire wheels, power steering, power brakes, back-up lights, safety package 'B', tinted glass and the engine dress-up kit. This car was assembled in Mexico, hence the vin, and also had a kilometer only speedometer.
