Bill Lambert says: This car has been the family since new. Original owner was Madelaine Lambert. Current owner is Bill Lambert (son) since 1973. The car is in very good condition and is undergoing a second restoration as of Feb 2008. First partial restoration was in 1981. Mileage is Approx. 68K.<p>
The original owner, Madelaine Lambert was an art teacher and selected this car because the unusual but stunning color (at that time) Platinum Silver. This car was purchased from Green Ford in Manhasset, Long Island, NY, in Aug of 1958. It was a very noticed, luxurious and powerful car. As a kid I was told to "keep my hands off" but since I liked it so much the car was eventually given to me in 1973. I think that the longer I own the car the more I appreciate it. Over the years the car was repainted "a Cadillac metallic mist pink", yellow, gunmetal gray and is now being returned to the original Platinum Silver. The engine has been rebuilt and the engine compartment has also been refinished.
