Ken Harkema says: I got a call from the original owner of this car asking if I would appraise the car. The 80-year old owner was getting a divorce from his wife of 40+ years and they are selling the house and the cars. Go figure! As usual the owner thinks the car is worth far more than reality. The car was originally Colonial White (E) with black and white vinyl interior (XH). It has power steering, power brakes, and power seat. At some point the car was painted black and terribly…almost looks like spray can application including the engine compartment. The dash is crumbling, seats torn, carpet a mess, chrome bad, missing one fender skirt, no hub caps, and owner claims no work done on the motor although it is painted dark blue. It does have 65,574 original miles according to the owner. Owner stated someone offered him $5000 but thought that was a joke. I would say the car is worth about $750 in the current condition.<p>
The scheduled production date of September 16th is one day past the model year run.
