I found this car three years ago only 5 miles from my house. The car is missing the motor/transmission, bumpers, and the interior but that is not a problem as I have three motors and as many transmissions plus all the interior and chrome in my spare parts. The car needs a total restoration and I plan to start this soon. The car is originally white with red/white interior but I will change it to Gulfstream Blue with corresponding interior. The options on the car at this time are power steering, radio, heater, and Cruiseomatic transmission. I will add power brakes, power windows, and power seat when I do the restoration. This car is the highest known VIN for a 1958 convertible. UPDATE November 2011- recent picture added. UPDATE September 2012, original sales invoice added… click link below. UPDATE April 2017, picture added of the sister of the original owner, when the Thunderbird was new. UPDATE June 2024, Gerhard Gruber notified the Registry that he owns this Thunderbird and it is in Germany.
