Rick Weinholdt says: I've owned this 1959 Thunderbird Hardtop for 5 years now. I'd say it is a good number 2 car. Although the Platinum Metallic paint is still really good the body is starting to show some signs of deterioration so it won't be long now before bodywork will be in order. The interior has mostly been replaced. The dash is original as best as I can tell. I have added the exterior dress up package. The engine compartment has not been detailed but that will happen in the next couple of years. I will add the engine dress up package when that time comes. It's still a good driver having made the trek to Minneapolis from Winnipeg the last four years for the back to the fifties car show and it also went to Elgin, Illinois a couple of years back for the North Central VTCI show. It has close to 90,000 original miles on it. - - - - - - - -As of November 1, 2004 this Thunderbird has the lowest consecutive unit
number of any 1959 Hardtop in the Registry.
