Bill May (former owner) says: I did not know about the Thunderbird Registry until I saw the February, 2003 "Wings and Wheels" (HVTCA publication). I was going to send my information to you but a friend checked the web site and found that through your efforts you already knew about my 1959 Thunderbird from the VTCI Scoop magazine.
My Thunderbird is unrestored and received 281 1/2 points in the primary division of the VTCI South Central Regional Convention. It is shown on page 46 of the new book "Thunderbird Chronicles" and it is on the front cover of the March-April 2002 Thunderbird Scoop. In May, 2000 I drove it 5 laps around the track at Texas Motor Speedway. In May, 2004 at the VTCI So. Central Regional Convention my car received 290.5 points in the Concours Primary Division. The 1st time for a 1st place trophy. My 1959 Thunderbird is featured & shown in the story about "The 50th Anniversary of the Squarebird" in the June 2008 issue of Car Collector magazine. This 1959 Thunderbird was part of the North Texas Vintage Thunderbird Club show in June, 2010.
