Cal Pfahl says: I am the third owner of this beautiful car.
This car was originally purchased in Illinois and owned till 1995 when it was found by the second owner who took it to Missouri, just south of St. Louis. It was in a field sitting because the original owner could not drive it any more. It was an unmolested totally original car. The second owner had his local classic car shop go through it bumper to bumper and fix and replace anything it needed to make it a dependable driving car. It was taken on a 200 mile trip once a month to keep it excercised. - - - - - - - - -
It has a beautiful recent enamal black paint job that was hand rubbed out. It really glistens. The interior is still the original black and white vinyl with the gold bead. All chrome is in good shape as is the glass. I just had a new (old stock) windshield put in because it broke during the transportation to Washington.- - - - - - - - - -This car has air conditioning, and an aftermarket T-bird radio. The engine is a 352 that runs like a champ. It appears the door locks or the ignition has been replaced, because the keys don't work in the doors.
- - - - - - - -This car is a completely rust free car and a joy to drive. I get lots of smiles, hollars, and thumbs up everywhere I go. It is not show quality, but, could be with a little time and effort.- - - - - - - - It does not have the fender skirts and has later model Galaxie wheel covers on it. The trunk looks unused. - - - - - - - - UPDATE March 2017, Lex Wares of Tasmania, Australia notified the Registry that he owns this Thunderbird.
