This 1959 Thunderbird Hardtop was owned by my father-in-law and given as a gift to my daughter because she loved it even before it was repainted. I found receipts and letters for work done on it dated 1990. Jim Hinz, of Pasadena, CA was the prior owner at the time, paying $5800. One letter talks about receiving payment in full, and the seller was going to get a Georgia Certificate of Registration and car tag. In 2012 my father-in-law bought the car from someone at Decatur Blvd. in Las Vegas for $3250, and shipped it to Cincinnati, Ohio where he moved. He had it repainted Raven Black, replaced the shocks, and fixed some steering components. We received it in March 2013. It needs a whole new front-end rebuilt because of worn out parts. The wiper motor doesn't work, the washer pump is missing even though all of the rubber tubing is there, radio works half the time, needs all new window seals, gas gauge didn't work but does now. It has power steering, manual brakes, no air conditioning, manual windows, 352 V8 with Cruise-O-matic transmission. The wheels are not original.
