[former owner] Jameswatt says: My 1959 Thunderbird was restored in the 90's in the Abitibi (Canada) region, I bought it in Chateauguay in 2011. I've done a lot of work to keep it in good shape. We use it regularly for shows and fun in the nice season. UPDATE August 2019, Jameswatt says: August 22nd 2019, sold to a collector from L'Assomption, QC, Canada named André Tessier. The car was due for a paint. Original hubcaps now replace aftermarket wheels which needed tubes and would leak because of friction with the modern tire. Valve covers were replaced for the Ford originals and painted like the car. Original hybrid AM radio (with 12 volts B+ anodes tubes) is intermittent despite all the tubes replaced. However, transistor amp works fine and a 1/8 inch jack was discretely installed in the dash in order to listen to modern devices. AN electrical fan helps for low RPM cooling and an aftermarket dial gauge was installed on the lower dash before I bought it. A reconditioning of the original radiator is in order. Overall the car still runs very well.
