This is a 1959 Thunderbird Convertible. It is red with a red leather interior and it has a tan soft top. It has Cruise-O-Matic transmission, SelectAire Conditioner, power brakes, power seat, power windows, power steering, tinted glass, Adjusto-Ring outside mirror, fender shields, and after-market wire wheels. In 2001 it was sold at the Petersen Musem Classic Car Auction in California for $39,960. As of January, 2003 its status was unknown. UPDATE June 2012, Dennis Dole reports it was sold at the RM Vintage Motor Cars in Arizona Auction (Lot #211) for $50,600 in January 2006. It is in the same condition as described previously. - - - - - NOTE this car was also reported by Phil Skinner as having been seen at BJ Phoenix 2001, and was a Hardtop H9YH106885. Our only picture is of a Convertible so that is our pick of the two. UPDATE May 2018 it is for sale in Manassas, Virginia.
