This 1959 Thunderbird Convertible was sold on the baycitymotorcompany.com. It was sold new at Harold Turner Inc. located at S. Woodward in Birmingham, Michigan according to the original window sticker. It was sold with Magicaire Heater, Console Radio, Tinted Glass, Back up Lights, Fender Shields, Sun Ray Wheel Covers, and Undercoating. It has 3-speed manual transmission. UPDATE June 2012, it was seen at the All-Ford Show in Syracuse, New York. It has 5-speed manual transmission (modified from original 3-speed). UPDATE June 2019, Bob Roese notified the Registry that he owns this Thunderbird He says: It was purchased in Syracuse, NY in July of 2013 and transported to California. When purchased the engine is a 428 SCJ block with 1963 427 low riser heads and 2x4 intake manifold said to have been modified and installed by the original owner. That original owner in 1959 was James Jacobs in Oxford, Michigan. I have a photo of car in 1973 with the current engine/manifold at Ford Nationals. (picture updated)
