Kenny Kawa says: My uncle had this car parked in a parking terrace in Los Angeles for many years and when my father died in 1999 he told me to come and get the car off of his property or he was going to have it towed away for scrap. A neighbor of mine has a trucking company and I paid him $600.00 to bring it back to Utah and I received the car shortly after Christmas of 1999. The only repair that I had to do was major brake work ($1000.00). The only other expenses have been registration & taxes, storage and insurance. I only put 41 miles on the car last year and figure that each mile driven cost me around $ 29.00 per mile. I had a professional appraisal performed for insurance purposes and was told the value was between $25,000 and $36,500. As near as we can tell the only component that has been replaced has been the rag top, but everything else is original. This Thunderbird is black with a white convertible top, a black and white interior and has 56,607 miles on it (as of May, 2003). Since it was in California the body is in great shape.
