Larry King says: My 1959 Thunderbird Hardtop was originally a 3-speed stick; now has Cruise-0-Matic. I purchased it in Yorba Linda, California in April, 1999. I drove it back to Nashville mostly on Route 66 and restored it. It was sand blasted to the metal, then painted a base coat and a clear coat. It has a rebuilt radiator, a rebuilt power brake booster, a rebuilt front end, and the frame was cleaned and painted. It has chrome plated valve covers and air cleaner housing. It has a new convertible top and new upholstery, as well as wide white walls and Kelsey-Hayes knock-offs.<p>Registrar's note: this car originally had 3-speed manual transmission with Overdrive, as evidenced by the transmission code of "2". It is also a SelectAire Conditioner car, which makes it even more unusual in combination with original equipment of 3-speed/Overdrive.
