Steve Bohlke says: I bought this 1959 Convertible in 1983 from Arts Auto Salvage In Ames, Iowa. The car was saved by Art as a restoration project and was sitting by his house for 14 years with 1969 dated plates. The car had been in a serious accident which damaged most of the sheet metal on the drivers side. I bought the car for $800 and did not restore the car until 1992. I am currently completing a 2nd restoration that involved replacing every piece of sheet metal on the car except the upper right front fender. This car came with many options. It has power windows, power steering, power brakes, and dual power seats. It was built in July of 1959 and probably was one of the last semi-automatic tops built in that year.
