Ray Clark says: Sometime between 1959 and 1967 when Mark Mundorff's father, of Lincoln, Nebraska bought this car, someone started modifying it for racing. Mark has been trying to find out ever since then who that was and why they did certain things to the car. If anyone has any knowledge of this, they can contact him through Squarebirds.org. UPDATE, September 2013, My name is Mark Mundorff and I have a 1959 T-bird that I have had for 45 yrs. It is a mystery car in many ways. It has a 430 engine and 3 speed overdrive. No other options except radio and heater. The VIN number is J9YH165343, date 10H Trans-4 Color A It has a grease pen number on it of 359. While in the body shop, a metal tag was found wired to the inner front fender panel behind the bumper. That number is 54979. Does anything make sense? I am in Lincoln NE and I bought the car in Omaha in 1967. On the driver side sunvisor is the word AVANCIER in hand painted large block letters done professionally.
