This Thunderbird entered the Registry in October, 2016. UPDATE June 2018, Scott Kalani says: I acquired a 1959 Thunderbird Convertible from my neighbor who just turned 90 yrs old. He has had several Squarebirds over the years and this one, he started as a project in 2002 but never finished. I'm now in the process of going through the car. The Squarebird was repainted from a white to a Ford #979 light gray metallic. He also had the 430 MEL motor and transmission rebuilt. New stainless steel exhaust system. Installed, a AC unit from another Thunderbird. It has spoke wheels with new white wall tires. It has a 1960 Thunderbird grille/bumper and taillights.
