LOOKING FOR THIS CAR! Claude Walker says: This 1960 Thunderbird Hardtop is a 27,000 mile original car. It was kept by the original dealer in the Uniontown, Pennsylvania area for many years. The car was not titled until 1990! The car found its way into a large collection in New Stanton, Pennsylvania and stayed there until the owners estate sold it in 1990. At this time a dealer in the Butler, Pennsylvania area bought it and several other cars from the estate and took them to his business in Butler. A truck driver going by saw the car and bought it for his wife. At the time it had only 19774 miles on it. They kept it for 14 years and added 7000 miles on it. They did keep the car inside and it shows. The T-Bird has all of its original "M" Corinthian White lower finish and "Z" silver top.It has a full red "85" leather interior. It has power steering, power brakes, radio, skirts, white wall tires, heater, windshield washer, outside mirror, and 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The original exhaust system is still installed though it needs to be replaced. I spotted the car on a internet site of a dealer in Canton, Ohio. They had bought the car from the 1st registered owners. Overall it is a unusual T-Bird that needs very little restoration. - - - - - - - - - - UPDATE MAY 17, 2011: This car has been located - for sale on eBay and in Marshall, Virginia. JULY 2015, Dave NZ notified the Registry that he owns this Thunderbird. He says he imported it to New Zealand in 2011. January 2023, Dave says: It now has 34,400 miles showing.
