Bill says: The car is believed to have been owned and driven in the Oakland, CA area during its early life. It was sold by an older gentleman to a machinist/race car driver in the early '90's. He lived in the Bay Area also. He did a great deal of mechanical restoration to the Thunderbird. The body is virtually rust free and nearly perfect. The owner moved to Idaho and then lost interest in the car. I bought the car from him in 2015 and have since finished restoring the interior and doing other improvements. Current condition is #3. To finish the car will require more repairs, such as for the factory A/C, new paint and some chrome work, plus detailing. I am proceeding with the work as a hobby. I'm retired.
