Martin Grove says: My 1960 Thunderbird Hardtop is a great car, I bought it in Beaumont, Texas, maybe in 1996. It always runs good but hasent been drivin in three years, two of which, I was in Texas prison for some stupidity. I was driving it the day I was arrested, I had driven it at high speed around I-635 in Dallas, I parked it in the back yard, shut it off and went in the house. Something shorted out and all the wiring was burned when I saw it before the police came for me. The exhaust maniflold cracked in two as well. I've been home for a year now and have straightend up and back to my old job of twenty-odd years of body and paint. Currently I am almost finished copying every wire on the car with new and it should be done this month, I'm starting to get excited. When I'm finished, an old guy I know wants to own it, I told him I'd take $4000 for it. I will buy my dead friend's 1960 T-Bird convertible from his widow. It needs a lot of work but man, these old Birds are so worth keeping alive. This car is loved, man! The only draw back is at every red light it's the same old question, somebody is staring at you and asking " What year is it? " I always say, "Well it's 2003!, Where you been? " lol
