W. Gaines says: I was born in the back seat of my Thunderbird,the car was retired in 1970 when my father passed. My brother and I decided to bring it back to life in 1997. My brother was killed during the Gulf War, and I took over the bird since then. The engine was rebuilt by me, and I upgraded the brake system to disc[front]. I am about to start some minor body work this winter. The car would have been done alot sooner, but the recent war started and I was shipped overseas. Back home slighty wounded, but able to complete the restoration of my beloved Thunderbird.
